After landscaping the deck is softened and feels like more of a part of the yard.
Tried and true perennials and shrubs add color as well as ease of care for this landscaping.

Location: Downingtown, PA
Objective: The Clients recently had a deck installed and wanted to add some landscaping. They still wanted a good view of their back yard, but were hoping to help block the view of the road out front, with adding multiple seasons of interest, as well as keeping the landscape low maintenance. The only plant they specifically requested was a coral bark maple.
To complete this design we added many tried and true perennials and shrubs to keep the landscaping as low maintenance as possible as well as have a good mix of evergreen and deciduous plants to get a start on multiple seasons of interest. The coral bark maple was used to help block the view of the road from the seating area. One of my favorite plants used was the dwarf magnolia which will give height to the end of the deck, as well as provide beautiful flowers for the clients to enjoy.
